10 Great Housewarming Gifts For New Homeowners

Posted by Monique Henry on Jul 5, 2016 10:07:58 AM

Moving into a new home is a tedious task, so new home owners would least likely remember to get certain items for their home. This is a fresh start and a new experience so it is a good idea to improve their experience by giving a great housewarming gift, especially the ones they would most likely forget. Here are ten great housewarming gifts for new homeowners:

1. Kitchen appliances

A blender or a toaster would be a great gift for new homeowners, so that they get the opportunity to get rid of the old appliances and start off their kitchen anew. Out with the old, in with the new! Just like their home.

2. Kitchenware

New utensils or a new pot set is a fun gift because these gifts can never be underappreciated. The owners will always appreciate these kinds of gifts, whether it be for hosting guests with fancy cutlery, serving hot coffee in a beautiful mug, or getting a perfect egg from a non-stick pot. A kitchen cannot function without these.

3. Plants

A plant makes a nice decor for a home – the living room, dining room, bedroom or even the kitchen. It is a satisfying gift as it would beautify the area it is placed in, as well as provide a sense of peace and tranquility.

4. Photo frame

A photo frame is creative decor to place around the house. Whether it is small enough to be placed on the night stand in the bedroom or large enough to be on the wall in the living room, new homeowners would enjoy seeing their images and memories around their home. It makes it even cooler when guests inquire about photos and you get to share the experience with them.

5. A bottle of wine

A new home calls for a celebration, and there is no better way to celebrate than with some fine wine. Raise your glasses to new beginnings in your new home!

6. Welcome rug/door mat

New home owners may not remember to get one of these classic home decorations, so this is a smart gift to get for them because it’s unique – plus they'll always remember your gift once they come home.

 7. A painting

This is a good wall decoration since it can brighten up the room where it is hung. Get a painting that highlights things that the owners are interested in and this would be a perfect gift.

8. Towel set

Whether for the kitchen or the bathroom, towel sets make great gifts for new homeowners because they are home essentials. New towels help to beautify the bathroom and kitchen and would help with the finishing touches on these rooms, while being functional too!

9. Key holder

Keys are the hardest things to find when on the move. Be helpful and bring the new homeowners a key holder so that they can always keep track of their keys.

10. Scented candles

This gift helps to stimulate senses by providing one’s home with an appealing fragrance. Candles set a relaxing mood, which would be helpful after the tedious task of moving is all over. It is also a good gift when hosting because it helps to freshen the air and set a light mood in a room. Every hostess would love to achieve a light, fresh and comfortable environment for her guests.
